The Seven Kites of Matariki (cloze)

 Aloha,  this week we did a cloze. A cloze is when you get a story and some missing words, and on the side will be the words that are missing. You have to try figure out the words that are missing and put them in the right spaces. But this weeks the layout was different. It was called 'The Seven Kites of Matariki' and it was pretty easy.  Aloha guys, For the rest of the term we are working on Matariki, My reading follow up was based on Matariki. We had to make a presentation about the main ways to celebrate Matariki, and what is Matariki. We first read a little bit about Matariki then we had to make the presentation. Here is mine

Matariki Art

This week we have been learning about Matariki. Matariki is the start of the Maori new year.

We had to make art about Matariki. We had to draw a big star and then put heaps of different Zentangles. Zentangles are heaps of patterns really close to each other.

When we finished the star we got another piece of paper and dyed a background for our star. When we finished dying the background we stuck the star in the background. Here is my art Matariki
