Buddy Class

Aloha guys,  Today we had buddy class. For this week's activity we played outdoor games. They were called target throw, over and under and three legged races. we had to find our buddy's and sit down on the mat. I found my first buddy then I found my second buddy. One of my buddies puked so I had to take her to the office and Kersten called her mum. I came back and went to my other buddy. 

Then we had to split into three groups with our buddy. Me and my buddy were first at target throw.  There were two hula hoops in line to each other. The hula hoop that was the furtherest was five points and the one that was the closest was 2 points. We then got bean bags and started to throw the bean bags into the hula hoops.

Our second activity was a three legged race. We got the rubber things and put it around our ankles. Only one of our feet was allowed in the rubber thing at a time. I almost fell over. I did not.  Sadly we only had enough time to play two games. It was also mufti day

Thaumatrope

Aloha guys, we have started doing our reading follow ups. Reading follow ups are when your teacher sets us task at reading time. We get a must do and a can do, Must do's in our class are things that we HAVE to finish by the end of the week. Our must do for my reading group was to make a claymation. For our can do we got a choice of, Make a flip book, Make a Thaumatrope, Make a poster showing the history of animation, Screencastify yourself talking about the history of animation or Research other types of animation and share your information. I chose make a Thaumatrope.

Football

 Aloha guys, today we played football. Some people from the Halswell Football club came to our school and played football with us. The people who came names are Stu and Liam.  

We first got into groups, there were 8 groups. I was in group 1 - team yellow. Then we played turtle tag, Turtle tag is just like tag but when you get tagged you lay on your back and someone has to lightly push you onto your tummy then your back up. Also if you tag someone they don't be a tagger. 

We then started to play football, But we played it a bit different. There were different ranks and if you won a game of football you had to go up a rank, but if you lost a game of football you had to go down a rank. My team won. 

Overall I really liked this way of playing football and I would play it again.

PALS

Aloha guys,  on Wednesday we had PALS. 

PALS stands for 'Physical Activity Leaders'  It started at 9:30 and finished at 2:00. 80 people from other school came to our school and did PALS with us. Ten people from each school was allowed to be included in PALS .

For pals we are got taught on how to run fun activity's for other kids at lunch time and  help with all the sport activities. It was really fun. 

The people who were running PALS first made us play games. We played bull rush, all in tag and some other games. They chose 3-7 people to lead the game and tell us how to play. It was really fun. We then had to make a poster about our school. Here is some photos of pals.

Fabric Art

 Aloha guys, we have been doing fabric art. We are painting things about us on a piece of fabric. When everyone in our class is done we are going to stitch them all together and make a big class blanket. We first had to draw our plan on a piece of paper. Then when we were done drawing our plan we had to start sketching it out on our piece of fabric. We then had to start painting on our piece of fabric with fabric paint.

Persuasive writing

Aloha guys we have been learning how to write persuasive writing. Persuasive writing is, whats states the issue or topic, states what you think about it and why people should believe you. We had to pick between the options of positive or negative. Our thing we had to write about was "It better to be and only child." we had to to a brainstorm about why we think being an only child is a positive idea, and why we think being an only child is a negative idea. Then we had to chose three of the things we put in the brainstorm and write our arguments.

Here is my persuasive writing.

Being an only child is the best thing ever.  There are many good reasons for being an only child. My first reason is that It is cheaper for your parents so you can get more things.  Second reason is that you get to do what you want.  Last reason is that you also get your own room .

Saving money is great because you get more expensive things and more things that you want. Life won't be as expensive for you and your parents. You can get nicer things and  you get to go on more fun activities and holidays.

Getting your own room is so great. If you have your own room then it won't be crowded and messy. You have more room to put stuff and won't wake up from people snoring.Also you get more privacy and can invite friends without getting annoyed at siblings.

Getting to do what you want is so good, because you don't have to worry about your siblings coming with you. You will get more money to go get stuff, and you won't get embarrassed. You’ll be much happier without your siblings and if you are the oldest you won't have to worry about your younger siblings.

I strongly agree that being an only child would be good. Its is cheaper for parents, you can do what you want,  and you get your own room.
