Axolotl Information Report

Aloha, This week we had to write an information report about axolotls. We had to include there Habitat, what they eat, there looks and some other cool facts. I also added some pictures just in case if you guys don't know what an axolotl is. Here is my axolotl information report.

  Axolotls don't look that attractive but they are really awesome sea creatures.

Axolotls can be born in lots of different colors, such as white, yellow, pale pink and black. They have pinkish/reddish frilly gills that look like little brocaleys on top of their head, and have four legs and 2 eyes. They have tiny tiny black dots by their frilly gills. Axolotls can grow up to 45cms long  and they have a slimy coat , this helps them to protect their skin.

 Axolotls are carnivores, that means they only eat meat. They also like to eat lots of different things, they eat mollusks, worms, insect larvae, crustaceans, and some fish. Some axolotls live just out of Mexico and they can be found in big lakes and people have them as pets so they will sometimes live in fish tanks.

When they are in water they wiggle their tail and push their arms to swim around. They slither like a snake.  Axolotls are also known as The Mexican Walking Fish.

 Axolotls are really endangered because there are barely any left in the world. It is estimated there are only 700 - 1200 left in the wild.  Another very interesting fact is, if they lose a body part it grows back again. Some  axolotls can glow under a bluelight. If you touch an axolotl you will burn them.

My favourite fact is that they can grow their body parts back. I have learnt so much about Axolotls and I think it is very sad they are endangered and people should work hard to save them.

Kia ora guys. This week we have been learning about information reports and we did one about cheetahs. We had to include their habitat, what they eat, their looks and special features. Medicinal plants

Kia ora guys, Last week and this week for reading we had to read  about medicinal plants.  We had to make a google drawing about what do you like better. Chemist medicine or traditional medicine. Here is my poster.

This week we have been learning about narrative writing. We had to write a narrative story using a photo. The photo was of a man taking a photo of something inside of a car. We had to write about orientation, a problem, a solution and a ending.  Here is the photo we had to write about and my story

My name is Jonny, I'm a 21 year old boy who lives in London in a big house. I'm a secret agent whose job is  to take photos of people and other stuff. I give my photos to my boss and then he gives me all the money I earn. I love my job.

The camera flashed in my eyes as I  took a photo. I wound up my window and parked outside the secret basement underneath the wooden plank. I went inside and my money was waiting for me on top of the white table.

I was walking outside to take some more photos and there was a slippery banana peel outside the door. I was running so fast with my camera in my hand and slipped on the banana peel. I dropped my camera. It was crumbled in tiny ,tiny pieces. I was so shocked because I didn't have enough money to buy a new one and all my memories would be gone. 

So many people were looking at me and laughing because I slipped on the banana peel. I ran away to my car but so many people were taking photos of me driving away to my boss to tell him that I slipped on  a banana peel and broke my camera. He was so angry that he almost fired me from my job. I went back to my house and went to sleep. The next day I went back to my boss and he gave me another camera but he said I wouldn't get any pay for 2 weeks, because he spent all my pay money on the camera.

I had to sell my house because I didn't have any money. I asked my mom if I could live with her and she said “ why?”  I said “ because I slipped on a banana peel and broke my camera, my boss had to spend my pay money on a new camera for me and I had to sell my house for more money.” my mom said “ ok FINE.”

I took off to my boss and told him that I sold my house for more money. He said “cool”
