Cross Country.

 Aloha guys, Yesterday we had cross country. We had cross country at kyle park, it was at 10:30. The year 6 boys went first and when they were almost done there first lap the year 6 girls went, (me). The year 4/5/6 had to run 2k's. I came 3rd place, Angel came 2nd place and Emily came 1st place. I am a PALS leader meaning that i had to run with all the other kids after my race. 

After cross country it was shared lunch. We came back to the school and went into class for a little bit. When it was time for shared lunch my aunty and uncle came and bring a subway platter.

Cross Country Set Up

 Aloha guys, For the past week or 2 me and this group of people have been helping our teacher plan the cross country track. 

We first had to go to Kyle Park and figure out the cross country track for the year 1/2 the year 3 and the year 4/5/6. The year 1/2 are running 700m, the year 3 are running 1k and the year 4/5/6 are running 2k. The seniors have to run 2k to make it into zones. 

We then went onto my maps and drew the course on there. Me and my friend then wrote the newsletter for the cross country.

Our cross country is on Thursday the 15th of April.

Wayne Francis Trust

 The Wayne Francis Trust are big supporters of our school.  Next week we have people, from the trust, coming to see the school.  I am lucky enough to have been chosen to present a slide to them.  Here is the slide I am going to share with them.

I am proud that I am one of the few people that were chosen to share with them.

Dog Safety

Aloha guys, today we had dog safety. People from dog safety came to our school told us about dogs. They had a big, black, fluffy Labrador . They were also telling us to pick up the poop when you are walking your dogs. why dogs bark, and a lot more stuff. 6 people who don't have dogs got to go up and touch the dog. Here are some photos.

Decision making

 Aloha guys, This week we had a reading follow up. Reading follow ups is when you read about a certain category and you have to do task about that category. We were reading about 'How to make a decision'. For our must do we had to make a presentation. For my presentation I made a animation.

Buddy Class

Aloha guys,  Today we had buddy class. For this week's activity we played outdoor games. They were called target throw, over and under and three legged races. we had to find our buddy's and sit down on the mat. I found my first buddy then I found my second buddy. One of my buddies puked so I had to take her to the office and Kersten called her mum. I came back and went to my other buddy. 

Then we had to split into three groups with our buddy. Me and my buddy were first at target throw.  There were two hula hoops in line to each other. The hula hoop that was the furtherest was five points and the one that was the closest was 2 points. We then got bean bags and started to throw the bean bags into the hula hoops.

Our second activity was a three legged race. We got the rubber things and put it around our ankles. Only one of our feet was allowed in the rubber thing at a time. I almost fell over. I did not.  Sadly we only had enough time to play two games. It was also mufti day

Thaumatrope

Aloha guys, we have started doing our reading follow ups. Reading follow ups are when your teacher sets us task at reading time. We get a must do and a can do, Must do's in our class are things that we HAVE to finish by the end of the week. Our must do for my reading group was to make a claymation. For our can do we got a choice of, Make a flip book, Make a Thaumatrope, Make a poster showing the history of animation, Screencastify yourself talking about the history of animation or Research other types of animation and share your information. I chose make a Thaumatrope.
